THE PRIORS.....Episode Forty eight....Eden meets up with Kandy

Note from author (me) This story is all about the music! When I first heard the song I was in stitches!!!! I just HAD to write it into my story......

Kandy is out shopping when she spots Eden coming out of a fitting room.

 

"Hi, Eden!" Kandy catches up with Eden near the cash desk.

Eden turns and sees Kandy "KANDY! How are you?"

Eden chats with Kandy as they pay for their purchases and then Kandy suggests they both go for a coffee.

 

Eden is more than happy to accompany Kandy for a coffee.

They had both attended the same school and chat animatedly. The girls chat about their jobs and Eden tells Kandy all about her world travels since she got her big brake and is now a model. Then they chat a little about Kandy's work and other friends from school.

Kandy asks Eden about her new boyfriend and Eden blushes"Well..... I think things are going grate?" 

 

Kandy laughs "How can you 'think so'??? either they are or there not?"

"Well,this guy Luke he's  a model..." Eden starts to say

Kandy pulls a face " I thought all male models were gay!" and she giggles at Eden's shocked face "Chill, I'm pulling your leg! Go on...."

"Well, he's a real hunk and so nice too! A real gentleman!" Eden's eyes sparkle when she thinks about Luke.

 

"Gentleman? You mean you've not had sex yet? How long have you been seeing this guy?" Kandy looks shocked.

"Well, about six months I guess? But we are both busy people always off in different directions and different countries...but we did make love on New year!" Eden is now on the defensive. 

 

Kandy smiles " Are you sure he's not gay? I would have thought you would be at it like rabbits!"

"I'm sure! He's had a lot of girls before me! He's says he loves me and what's to do things right?" Eden replies a little uncertainly.

"OKAYYYYYYYY???? So who is this guy?" Kandy wants to know.

 

"His names Luke... Luke Thompson. I know he wants me... sometimes we come soooo close! Then he just.... shuts down? I was with him at the New Year party!" Eden shrugs her shoulders.

"Oh? Well, I had other things on my mind that night! Luke Thompson? I think he's my brother-in-laws cousin? If he is he came to see Neal and Sarah a few weeks ago? Sarah was telling me about it? She said it was all a bit odd? Hang on a minute and I'll phone her!" 

With that Kandy takes out her mobile phone and presses a button. After a couple of rings Sarah answers "Hello? Kandy?" 

 

"Hi, Sarah are you OK . ... you sound a little strange" Kandy looks over at Eden and pulls a face.

 "I'm, fine ...have you not seen the news?" Sarah voice sounds strained.

"No? Why? What's Neal been up to now?" Kandy asks a little bemused.

"Huh, nothing much he was just caught playing handsy with KYORI in a coffee shop in town!"Sarah tells her.

 

"WHAT!!!" Kandy is incredulous " And he's still WALKING????" 

Sarah gives a hollow laugh "It's OK...for now! But there is a lot more to it! Can you come round?" 

"Well, I'm having a coffee with Eden at the moment... In fact it's because of Eden I phoned you..." Kandy looks over at Eden who is stirring her coffee and looking a little confused at Kandy.

"I just wondered ....Luke THompson is he Neal's cousin?"Kandy asks

"Yes, he was here a couple of weeks ago! Why is Eden having problems with him?" Sarah esquires

Kandy nods at Eden and mouths 'yes' then turning back to the phone "Eden's been seeing Luke but she's not sure about him?" she tells Sarah.

"Oh! That's makes sense ....I think?" Sarah sounds a little puzzled.

"Why?" Kandy looks over at Eden and shrugs pulling a face

 

"Well, I don't know all that Luke and Neal were talking about ...they were being very secretive but I did hear Luke talking about  Dania Zarr and sleeping with her!" Sarah tells Kandy... she wants to hit back at Neal and hurting Luke seemed like a good idea at the time.

"OK!!!! I think we will leave it there for now! Thanks Sarah!" and Kandy closes her phone and puts it in her bag.

"So spill? What did Sarah say?" Eden looks at Kandy her eyebrow arched.

"Oh, ammm nothing much ...just that Luke is Neal's cousin.... that's all!" Kandy shifts uncomfortably in her seat.

 

"Oh, I thought so and how are you and Chris getting on? Was he at the party? I didn't see him?" Eden asks. 

"Humph! Well, he got drunk and the police locked him up for the night. That's why he was not at the party!The ass wipe!" Kandy tells Eden with distaste.

"Oh, NO! Are things OK? I would kill Luke if he did that to me!" Eden tells Kandy with a shock in her voice.

"Well, he's still in the dog house and his dad went NUTS at him so I guess he is being punished good and proper.... and no sex of course!"

At this both girls dissolve into giggles

"So, talking of sex..." Eden giggles like a teenager " is he hot in bed?"

"Oh, my GOD! I can't believe you just asked me that!" Kandy is truly shocked.

Eden just leans back in her chair and laughs some more, then she looks her friend straight in the eye "Oh, my! He's not is he?" The smile immediately leaves her face. Eden blushes a deep red "I'm sorry that's sooooo rude of me, I should mind my own bees wax!"

Kandy quickly recovers her composure "Well, he's not that bad but no, not that good!"

Then Kandy fiddles with her i phone Eden looks on, a puzzled look on her face.

Then Kandy hands it over a tells Eden to listen to the song that's now playing.....

 "Oh? " then as the song starts understanding washes over Eden's face with a smile she nods in understanding and listens to the song.....

 After the song has ended the girls look at each other with serious faces then they both dissolve once more into roaring ruckus laughter.

They are laughing so much that when Kandy stands to put her phone away she trips over the table and lands with a bump on the floor which only makes them worse.

All the patrons of the cafe are staring at them. Some older ladies sitting at a corner table tut,tutting  and a waitress comes over and asks them if they would mind leaving....NOW?

The girls gather their bags and they fall out into the street still giggling away! 

"Oh! My sides hurt!" Eden wails.

"My BUM hurts!" Kandy replies trying without great success to compose herself.

The girls like arms and giggle off down the road

"So! What's Luke like in the sack?" Kandy giggles.

Eden stops and a lady bumps into her "Mind yourself ducks!"  the lady says gruffly

"I'm sorry! He's HOT and very attentive.... both down below AND up top ....if you get my drift! It was just getting him going first time that was the issue?" Eden winks at Kandy and uses her hands to point out the parts she was talking about....

"You dirty cow.... lucky ... but dirty!" Kandy links arms with Eden again and they continue down the road.

A little further along Eden looks at Kandy.... "Maybe Luke could give Chris a couple of tips?"

"OH NO!!!! Don't you DARE tell anyone! I'll kill you.... Chris will kill me!... You wouldn't tell anyone...would you?" Kandy stops mouth open.

Eden smiles "I'm joking you wally" and she gives Kandy a hug.

By now they have reached the car park and bid farewell both heading off in different directions to their respective cars. But not before they have put each others mobile phone numbers into their respective phones with a promise to keep in touch.

THE PRIORS.....Episode Forty Seven....Can Things Get Any Worse?

Having checked his e.mail and made a quick call to Kyori Neal returns to Sarah who is still sitting in the living room.

 

"Kyori thinks she might have some news, she's found Erin and is going to e.mail me as soon as she has more information!" Neal looks over at Sarah not sure if he can come any closer?

 

"That's good!" Sarah's voice sounds flat so much crying and angst has numbed her voice and dulled her senses. The fight has left her, Dawn is yelling at fall throttle but even that does not stir her.

Neal looks at her his heart feels as if it is breaking he feels sick that he has done this to her "I'll get Dawn" and he leaves the room.

 

In the nursery Dawn is sitting in her cot crying and throwing her toys out onto the floor. The light is fading so Neal switches on the lamp "Hush, little one daddy's here!"

 

Dawn immediately stops and looks up holding out her arms. Neal picks her up and is rewarded with a big smile and the distinct whiff of a smelly nappy.

"Done a present for daddy have we?"he smiles at her and laying her on the changing mat quickly changes her and carries her downstairs.

Stopping at the living room door he can see it's empty.

For a second he panic's thinking Sarah has left him, then he realizes he can hear noise coming from the kitchen.

Entering he can see that Sarah is preparing dinner just as she did most evenings... 

"Toad in the Hole, OK ?" she asks without turning around.

"Amm, yes fine... thank you!" Neal feels decidedly uncomfortable at this almost robot like Sarah.

 

"Dawn's dinner is next to the sink, if you want to feed her?" again said in that same one monosyllable tone.

Taking the bowl of food Neal carries it and Dawn through to the dinning room. Placing the bowl on the table he sits Dawn in her chair making sure he clips on her safety harness before getting a clean bib and sitting down to fed her.

 

When Dawn has finished her dinner he gives her a bottle and lays the table for dinner. Not long after Sarah brings in their food. She places Neal's in front of him and sit down with her own. She does not speak... Neal does not speak.... apart from Dawn's insensate babbling, banging, and raspberry blowing (a trick picked up the other day from Neal's cousin Luke) the meal is eaten in silence.

 

After dinner Sarah takes Dawn through to the living room for some play time while Neal clears away and makes them both a cup of tea. He joins Sarah and Dawn noticing the news is on the TV.

 

Just as he sits down pictures of him and Kyori come up on the screen, the news reader speculates as to what the two are up to and wonders if Sarah knows about the meeting? Before the segment is finished the phone starts to ring. The relief Neal felt that he had told Sarah about his meeting with Kyori is short lived as a picture of Kyori with her hand stroking his thigh is flashed up on the screen. "I...it...she..." Neal tries to explain.

"Shut up and answer the phone! Dawn needs her bath!" and with that Sarah scoops Dawn into her arms and leaves the room.

"SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!" Neal cusses as he answers the phone. It's a reporter... as he new it would be.

 

"No comment!" he talks into the mouth piece and presses a button turning on the answer phone. He wished he could turn the phone off but is worried he might miss a call from Kyori... although she did say she would e.mail him. The phone rings again and the machine picks up, Neal turns the volume down so he does not have to listen to the ring all evening.

Sarah does not return  downstairs and eventually Neal goes up in search of her.

He finds her already in bed watching TV. "You, could have told me you was going to bed. I've been waiting for you to come down, we still need to talk! I never even got to kiss Dawn goodnight?"

 

Sarah looks at him with red puffy eyes "You could have told me you had shagged every tart that came within dicking distance... but there we go!"

 

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I don't know what else to say. You had left me! I was a single guy again... as far as I was concerned I could sleep with whoever I liked! I'm no monk ...never wanted to be... YOU left me!" Neal can feel a spark of anger rising within him.

"I know THAT! But don't try laying all this on me! I just don't get why you didn't cover it? I'll have to go and get a check up and we just do NOT want to go there if you have given me an STD!!!!!" Sarah fires back at him.

"But I DID cover it... that's what I don't get? and I'm sure none of them split?" Neal shrugs his shoulders as he starts to undress.

"Don't think your going to get naked in MY bed! You can sleep in another bedroom.... until further notice! Sarah can hear her voice raising.

"Sarah, we need to TALK, we can't do that from separate rooms?" but Neal does put on a pair of boxers. He sits on the side of the bed to put then on and Sarah gives his butt a hard kick  from under the covers. "Ooach! That hurt!" Neal turns to Sarah a look of pain on his face.

Sarah wishes for all the world that she did not love him so much. She sits in bed looking at him, half of her wants to tell him to get lost and never come back but the other half... wants him desperately!

Neal senses the change in Sarah and at first hesitates but then decides to go with his feelings, he leans over and holds her then after a while he kisses her. At first Sarah tries to pull away but her emotions are so strung out she soon gives in to his kisses at first their kisses are gentile, hesitant but as Sarah responds Neal feels his passion rising.. Neal knows Sarah will stop him soon but his love for her and their heightened emotion state prevents him from stopping of his own accord. Then Sarah stops him... as he knew she would, Neal groans and moves away from her "do you have a condom?" Sarah asks.

 

Neal looks at her astonished "A....condom?.... Look Sarah I do NOT have an STD! I told you that! Do you want me to go and get the medical certificate I got last month for the medical insurance company? You, know I have to have a medical every film I make!" He feels deflated that Sarah will not trust him about this.

 

He looks so cross that Sarah starts to giggle the giggle turns to a full on near hysterical laughing fit which gives her the hick-ups. This sets Neal off and he starts to laugh too.

"I have a cure for hick-ups you know!" Neal tells Sarah between breaths.

"I *hick* remember *hick*!" Sarah  laughs and hicks together.

 

Neal leans in and kisses her..... soon they are making love and this time there is no stopping them! (Oh, and yes, it did cure Sarah's hick-ups!)

What's makes this event even more strange is this is the first time Sarah has let Neal 'go all the way' since Dawn was born?

It's a very strange world?And these two are a very strange couple?

THE PRIORS.... Episode Forty Six....Is Their Marriage Over?

When Sarah return to the living room Neal's is standing by the window looking out but seeing nothing he does not even turn when Sarah enters he is so lost in his thoughts.

 

"Neal!" Sarah says his name loudly standing just inside the door " I thought I said I wanted you gone?"

 

 Turning from the window Neal can seeing that Sarah has been crying.... is still crying

"I'm so very, very sorry.... I...." his voice catches in his throat and he can say no more the tears are running unchecked down his face. 

 

Sarah wants to stay angry with him but has never seen him so distressed (not even when they lost the baby)

 

Neal's shoulders sag and he sits on the sofa his face in his hands his body racked with sobs... he feels sure he has lost EVERYTHING! At first he had thought... hopedthat somehow he would be able to save his marriage but while Sarah was gone he had tried to work out what to say...

  

but could come up with nothing? If he could not work out what to do about this mess then how could he ask Sarah for help... for understanding?

 

But he had reckoned without Sarah's strong love for him and her determination! 

 

Taking a deep breath and praying with all her heart that she was doing the right thing in those seconds she stands looking down on her broken husband the man she had thought would never hurt her again she makes up her mind.... he is her husband and her daughters father this was possibly going to be the hardest thing she had ever done but.....................................

 

She goes to him kneeling down in front of him handing him a tissue "OK, so where do we go from here?"

His head shoots up startled, shocked, surprised but most of all relived "you....you.... mean it? You said 'we'? Your going to stand by me? 'We' can sort this out?" he goes to take her hand but she jumps back like a scolded cat "not so fast buster! You don't come ANYWHERE near me.... not for now.....not for a loooooooooong time!"

Neal holds up his hand "Anything...anything you say.... just promise me you wont leave me.... I love you so much?"

"I won't leave you, I love you... but at the moment I hate you and what you've done... to us!" Sarah shakes her head "So, as I said before ....where do we go from here?"

Neal straightens up and pats the seat next to him and Sarah sits down careful not to be close enough for them to touch "OK, so I have spoken to Kyori......" seeing the look on her face and a coldness in her eyes he holds up his hands "Just talk, I promise! Kyori knows everything about everyone, I thought she would be able to help"

 

"and could she?" Sarah asks with sarcasm in her voice.

"Well, yes ....and no!" Neal shifts uncomfortably "She said I should tell you...."

"Oh, that was good of her!" more sarcasm.

"She did say she would see if she could find the other girls... find out who's had a baby?" he ventures.

 

"Oh! So now we wait.... for Kyori?" again with sarcasm.

"Stop with the sarcasm, I asked her to help I didn't know who else to ask?" Neal stands up and strides across the room heading for his office "I'm going to see if there's any news yet?"  he tells Sarah as he enters his office.

 

Sarah is left sitting on the sofa looking at Neal's  departing form "You could have asked me for help!" she says to the empty room as a single tear runs unchecked down her face..
